Headed out tonight for some evening Images. All this talk of hard drives and enclosure enables the ingest process but not the capture.
Long distance runners and some athletes claim to get a ‘runner high’ caused when the body release some chemicals in order for it to numb the brain and start feeding on muscle..or so I think…I spent eight years playing round ball and running track and it’s a fact..you do get a runners high…For me, it is corny to say but that same sense exists inside me as I move though framing, thinking and shooting Images. It makes the oxygen richer, the senses quicken, you question how do I fit into the surroundings, what is here that is romancing the light, where is my subject, how will I process it in post, how can I push what I’m feeling in my Images ….. then you settle down …..and….
the questions are almost always answered. Tonight, it was a special satisfaction to think of these plants as closing down for the night, after somehow taking in the sun for the last 14 hours, regenerting leaves from soil nutients and it is done so peacefully. No cords, no enclosures, no attention, no feedback, no economics….you can get lost in trying to understand the simplicity embedded in the complexity…
