Taconic Twilight

During the past few days I have been heading over to the nearby Taconic mountains to travel and discover some of the bucolic Images of the area.  I happened upon this beaver built pond during these explorations and decided to get up at 4:00 AM this morning and head over to see the sunrise from the east behind the mountains.

All weather reports indicated a clear morning, with only a 10% chance of precipitation. I guess you’ve figured out this story line setup. Not much time after this shutter clicked the

n a fast moving storm came in with lightening and a heavy deluge. I was between the two hot spots checking out the celestial lighting show and the amazing sound of thunder banging and clapping off the mountains.  It was a massive echo of ricocheting noise.

Even with the storm, the morning was magnificent, and I have a few more unique Images to share of the morning during this week.  The image that I was able to take before the thunderstorm changed the configuration of natures planned start for the day, was shot in the Blue Hour , L’Heure Bleue, my favorite time of the morning, but a real labor of effort to prepare for (i.e. no late night drinking) and you must have a desire to participate in (don’t hit that snooze button)
