ack in November, shortly after it was announced, I enlisted for this years Photoshop World (PSW). I loaded up with a speed pass, pro-pass, pro-pass party, a pre-conference shoot with the umber-combo McNally/Peterson and negotiated an extension on my NAPP membership… I then headed over to southwest airlines and booked my flight on the DIAPER shuttle into Orlando, then booked the room at the Rosen. Then called my Mom and said, I’m coming to visit in March, and by the way I’m going to take some time to shoot those elusive St. Petersburg shorebirds.
Plan the work, work the plan….I added some spices such as a new lens (24-120mm) and travel bag ( Think Tank Airport Security), oh I also decided to improve my capture rate by adding the Really Right Stuff gimbal head…… Plan the work….so, still having some bandwidth, I decided to ask to be considered as an official PSW blogger…and as luck would have it, was selected, and I’m going to try my hand at that aspect of give back to the community…I think it is cool that you can read about all the PSW convention stuff going on, based on the observations of a number of different bloggers …..
This site has been a working journal of my photographic discovery. The tons of hours put in, the lessons learned about being a photographer and digital darkroom developer and webmaster have been intense. Maybe it is just me, putting my angst for self perfectionism out there, and nothing short of what my vision is, will be acceptable. So those who have hung in there, thanks, and for those that are just joining in, welcome and feel free to comment about the Images, equipment opinions or book reviews and tips/techniques. I am interested in your opinion…so please deal with the realities of an anti-spam log-in process and drop a line or two…..
I can guarantee that the site will change, that’s my nature, always updating, upgrading, working inside the box until it is at it’s fullest, and then always searching for that bust out epiphany moment, to start over again… I have got to tell you that nothing that I encountered in my life has the expanse of creativity and wonderment as photography. The addition of creativity tools such as photoshop, and the influence of great artist and teachers just pushes your brain and craft.
But don’t think for a moment that that simple click is lost in the rhetoric. nooo. The aforementioned world of opportunity is not done at the expense of content. I am in that 1/250 sec moment in Arcadia and my uniqueness is embedded in Dependanse, ……I hope you feel and also have a voice about your Images , ….. but now is a time for another journey…as I say goodbye ALB….and…
