After a few well deserved libations, I headed out to observe and capture some urban images in Albany, NY. Even though Albany is the capital of the NY, the city just does not seem very active like other large cities… However, the city has a bit of heartbeat once nightfalls and people travel over the Hudson River to take in the city’s nightlife.
For my part I was looking for something that you don’t find while clicking landscapes or critters. Here the green and red neon caught my attention and I watched the city traffic to add some time-delay streaks from the cars taillights. I shot this Image with my D3s, 24-70mm, and gitzo, at 55mm, f22 for 8sec.
In Post, I decided half way thru to finish the image in a B&W with a mask for the Neon and chrome to isolate and picked up the image color, ala SIn City.. noir.
