Here is a quick way to save a few dollars……I wished I had waited for the bundled collections to be released. I started to use these back when I read about them on the NAPP website and a few other ‘pros’ started to recommend them. I am on CS5 with Snow Leopard.
The full suite pricing will cost you $35 less, and the pro pack (the one I’ve loaded in photoshop) is $20% off and just $60 It includes three PS kiss plugins for retouching, sharpness and edge gear.
What makes this software different is that it is newly minted and is using all the processing power of CS5 and then all the juice in your expensive display graphic cards. I’ve used the plugs-in and they are definitely a different processing technology. Zoom, real time,real quick. You even have a button to enable the GPU horsepower to assist accelerating your work flow and the results are very impressive. You’ll also have to load a very cool Workflow panel if your on CS5, (the installation process is very easy) and the pro package is designed around using the panel. The gotcha here is that you can’t use PSKISS as a smart object…..unless you raster the layer first….
All in all it is a very fast plugin and also comes with some other Image altering software that will do some creative effects…
