Macro Red Berries

I have been working for a long while on trying to take a decent Image of berries using various ideas and equipment. The perfect photo still eludes me but I keep on trying.  The combination of Nikon and Canon seems to get me closer. Nikon & Canon ?…yes..I have tried using 70-200, or the 200-400 or the 70-180 or the 105 all without to much success (or the success that I wanted)..So I picked up the Nikon 300mm f/4 and attached 1 then a 2nd Canon 77mm 500d close up lens (yes you can stack them, a tip I learned from Vincent Versace workshop) .

I finally seem to have a macro solution for filling the Frame that is to my liking.  More work is needed on my focus stacking and image harvesting but another step closer to a worthy macro red berries Image.  If I think at what it has cost in equipment, time and effort this is one crazy pursuit !  The 500D’s were on a major backorder (almost 12 months) but you can now find them in stock for ~$150 at the big box stores……..
